How loan EMI comparison works
Each provider is calculated independently using the standard reducing-balance EMI formula: EMI = P × r × (1 + r)n / ((1 + r)n − 1), where P is principal, r is monthly interest rate, and n is the number of monthly payments. At zero interest, EMI is principal divided by tenure.
Compare equivalent loan types and amounts when possible. A longer tenure can lower monthly EMI while increasing total interest and repayment. Results are estimates and exclude fees and lender-specific terms.
Frequently asked question
Does the lowest EMI mean the cheapest loan?
No. Compare total interest and repayment as well; a longer term can reduce the EMI but increase the overall cost.
